Quest Diagnostics
Project Summary
I collaborated with internal and client stakeholders to redesign a comprehensive, insight-led responsive website experience. I oversaw creation of the corporate Design System created in Figma, which helped bridge a communication gap between client, vendor and other Quest properties. Conducted comprehensive audits, discoveries and executed user-friendly responsive experience for patients, healthcare professionals, laboratory managers, and c-suite audience segments.
Engagement
Drive UX Maturity
Prior to the design, Quest’s site was not responsive in mobile or tablet viewports. The site was only viewable or usable (really) in a desktop setting. We, Perficient UX team redesigned the site within a 12-column grid framework that was compatible with AEM. We designed all templates with a flexible, component-based methodology in mind; so authors can easily pick-and-choose which components to use to support their various levels of content appropriately.
Evolve Design System
By leading discoveries and a style tile process we were able to gain design alignment across teams. We forged a path forward with an updated style, on an existing brand identity. We merged the new experience to a responsive, modern, clean Design System keeping accessibility at the forefront of our decisions. We built every design and prototype based on an atomic design framework. I collaborated with our UX/UI team to curate specs, spacing and intent around each component in Figma for future reuse and evolution of the Quest brand.
Personalized Experience
The Quest site was created specifically for several different audiences, Patients, Healthcare Professionals, Lab Managers, C-Suite and others. By intaking several viewpoints, user needs, conducting card sorting exercises and user testing - the content component library was made with flexibility in mind to satisfy different user scenarios. The idea is the user would self-select on homepage, top navigation or contact pages, and the system would eventually learn who the user was to surface up relevant information.
Improve and Migrate Properties
Our teams worked together to help plan and migrate several Quest properties in order to house content in the same AEM platform, reduce SEO issues, and as create a more consistent look and feel across said properties.
